Tavern at the Park
Tavern at the Park (130 E. Randolph St.; 312-552-0070) aims
to take advantage of its neighbor, Millennium Park, across the
street. Park-goers can saunter over from the modern art-filled
greensward for its counterpoint in comfort food: warm goat
cheese, BLT salads, mac and cheese, prime rib and pot pie.
It’s a menu that works for many audiences, especially
groups with differing tastes, but the best is yet to come.
In summer 2008 the restaurant aims to open a rooftop patio
that will fully revel in the views when, I predict, those familiar
burgers and steaks will taste that much better.
